  • Info about when show is on
  • Same style as adverts of channel

YOU SHOULD CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING:
  • Be creative in your approach to advertise your documentary
  • Don’t be obvious/literal
  • Visual hierarchy
    • Try to work with a small, medium, large
  • Typography
    • Readable
    • Simple yet captures mood/style well
    • Same style font as in real channel adverts
  • Photography:
    • Original photography
    • Good lighting
    • Good composition/obstacles
    • Consider location
  • Colour scheme
    • Don’t get too carried away, remember colour symbolism. Simple, yet interesting, eye-catching and appropriate to theme

Assignment 10: Inspiration from real products
Set: Tues Feb 7
Due: Wed Feb 8

Task: You must display and explain how your ancillaries have been inspired by real products.  You must print out the found examples and put on powerpoint to compare the similarities and differences.

1.
A)     Find, print an effective real product (newspaper advert) (this can be more than one)
B)      Complete and print your ancillary (newspaper advert)
C)      On powerpoint, explain how you’ve been inspired by real product and what you have applied to your own. Make sure you COMPARE them (similarities and differences)

A)     Find, print an effective real product (double page magazine spread) (this can be more than one)
B)      Complete and print your ancillary (double page magazine spread)
C)      On powerpoint, explain how you’ve been inspired by real product and what you have applied to your own. Make sure you COMPARE them (similarities and differences)

Bring printed copies of ancillaries, powerpoint to lesson. Put this powerpoint on your blog.
